When should I ask for a raise?

Just started my first job in mechanical drafting with AutoCAD and Solidworks. I have an associates degree but they started me at a measly $10/hr. Dont get me wrong i am very grateful to have a job at all but I feel I am being underpaid...How long should I wait until i ask for a raise, keep in mind i have no work related experience besides college courses in both....
